Job summary

Stripe is building a founding team for a security data platform that ingests and analyzes massive streams of events to provide actionable security insights. You will design scalable data pipelines, APIs, and user-facing interfaces that help protect Stripe integrations and the broader ecosystem.

You will lead design decisions, own data modeling and storage strategies, and work with cross-functional teams to ship robust security telemetry at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in data engineering and distributed systems.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java, C++, or Rust.
• System design leadership for scalable architectures.
• Operational mindset with high availability and observability.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable data pipelines processing millions of events per second.
• Build API-first services and streaming APIs for enterprise ingestion and analytics.
• Engineer security signals and surface high-fidelity insights.
• Define technical strategy, data modeling, and storage approaches for future products.
• Drive engineering excellence, focusing on code quality and reliability (99.99%+).
• Collaborate with Stripe core platform and data teams to ensure secure, isolated data access.
