Job summary

Centex Technologies is seeking a Security Engineer 4 - Lead to drive security engineering across enterprise and customer systems. You will own complex security work, develop clear technical guidance, and collaborate with program, product, and customer teams.

Responsibilities include designing secure architectures, leading threat modeling and risk assessments, overseeing incident response activities, and ensuring compliant security documentation across frameworks such as NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent directly relevant experience.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity/security engineering experience with technical leadership.
• Deep knowledge of security architecture, identity, networks, endpoints, cloud, vulnerability management, incident response, and secure engineering.
• Ability to lead risk-based decisions and produce clear technical and customer-facing documentation.

Work Arrangement

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of cybersecurity or security engineering experience, including technical leadership of complex security work.
• Deep knowledge of security architecture, identity, networks, endpoints, cloud, vulnerability management, incident response, and secure engineering.
• Ability to lead risk-based decisions and produce clear technical and customer-facing documentation.

Preferred

• Experience supporting federal, defense, CUI, classified, FedRAMP, or other regulated environments.
• CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, Security+, cloud-security, or other role-relevant certification.
• Experience with RMF authorization packages, security automation, zero trust, or DevSecOps.
