Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking a Director of Security and Emergency Management to lead the district's safety, security, and emergency preparedness programs. You will align initiatives with the district's mission, coordinate with local agencies, and ensure regulatory compliance across all locations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, desired.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar/equivalent position.
• Salary: Pay Grade 110, $72,064 to $107,196 annually, based upon education and experience.
• Work schedule: 260/261 days/year.
• Job type or FTE: Full-time
• Bargaining unit: Salaried Professionals
• Desired start date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Leadership: Align function with mission and core values; lead district initiatives and strategies; plan and communicate a shared vision for areas of responsibility.
• Demonstrate Performance Leadership: Develop capacity; improve efficiencies in recordkeeping, workflow and compliance; meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate Management Skills: Manage resources equitably; develop goals; ensure budget compliance; implement district emergency planning and security programs.
• Demonstrate Interpersonal Skills: Build trust; communicate effectively; liaison with law enforcement and agencies; engage with staff, scholars, guardians, and community.
• Demonstrate Professionalism: Maintain progress documentation; manage time and priorities; uphold honesty and confidentiality; foster professional growth and relationships.
