Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking a School Safety and Compliance Coordinator to lead district-wide safety programs, emergency planning, and compliance with federal, state and local regulations. You will coordinate with first responders, administrators, and facilities staff to maintain a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Two year degree (or equivalent professional work experience) is required; a four year degree is preferred.
• At least three years of progressively responsible experience in school safety, crisis response or emergency management is required.
• Certification(s) such as CSSP, CEM or CPTED are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and regularly update the District's Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
• Coordinate emergency drills (fire, severe weather, lockdown, evacuation, reunification).
• Lead emergency response planning and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate safety training and ensure regulatory compliance across the district.
