Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a security-forward engineer to own the infrastructure and deployment pipelines, focusing on secure data movement, storage, and access controls. This role supports government/defense work with a remote-friendly setup across the United States.

You will champion CI/CD, cloud deployments (Azure), and IaC, while advancing compliance programs (NIST, CMMC/SPRS, SOC 2 Type II) and working with leadership to convert controls into ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Proven DevOps and security-focused infra experience.
• Experience securing data in transit and at rest.
• Strong CI/CD and deployment automation background.

Responsibilities

• Own our infrastructure and deployment pipeline across Azure and containerized environments.
• Lead security posture for controlled data, access management, and key handling.
• Drive the compliance program: NIST controls, CMMC/3SRPS, SOC 2 Type II.
