Job summary

Bally’s Lake Tahoe Casino and Resort is seeking a Security Dispatcher to rapidly disseminate information via radio and coordinate Security Officers across the property. The role emphasizes calm decision-making, attention to detail, and strong communication in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring security personnel, responding to security requests, and generating incident reports while ensuring guest and staff safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 12+ months of security experience or related equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain applicable regional Gaming card and a valid driver’s license.
• English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Read/write simple lists, memos, and business correspondence. Keen observation skills.

• Transmits information via radio to Security Officers on duty; relays instructions.
• Monitors location of security personnel on duty.
• Monitors fire alarm system and dispatches officers to calls.
• Generates reports of suspicious or unlawful activity or other on-site incidents.
• Provides assistance and information to Guests and Team Members.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Security Shift Supervisor.
• Must multitask and work well in isolation and under pressure.

The Role:

Security Dispatcher is responsible for receiving information from a variety of sources and must be able to disseminate that information quickly and factually via radio.

Responsibilities:

1. Receives calls and requests for security assistance.

2. Transmits information via radio to Security Officers on duty to investigate complaints or requests; relays instructions or questions from Team Members on duty.

3. Monitors the location of security personnel on duty.

4. Monitor fire (EAS) alarm system. Dispatch Security Officers to calls for service.

5. Generates reports of suspect or unlawful activity or other incidents occurring on property.

6. Provide assistance and information to Guests and Team Members.

7. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Security Shift Supervisor.

8. Must possess multi-tasking skills and have the ability to work in isolation.

9. Must be able to work well under pressure.

10. Prepares and submits reports as required

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform security tasks exceptionally well. The requirements listed below are representative of the working knowledge and specific skills required. All Dispatchers must be knowledgeable to all company policies, guidelines and procedures, including fire safety regulations and evacuation procedures. This individual must remain calm under stress.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required plus twelve or more months of relevant security experience or related equivalent. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess and be able to maintain the applicable regional Gaming card and a valid driver’s license. LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in written form. Must be able to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence. Must possess keen observations skills and be able to respond to potential problems quickly and efficiently.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related computer applications and skills.
