Job summary

United Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Dispatch Officer for the 3rd shift. You will monitor assigned areas, CCTV, alarms, and dispatch communications to maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.

The role requires strong English communication, ability to work with large crowds, weekend/holiday availability, and prior security experience. PERC card and driver’s license are preferred; benefits include a 401K and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work well with large groups of people.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
• Basic knowledge of security programs.
• Must have weekend and holiday availability.
• Ability to solve problems, and handle situations with limited standardization.
• Previous security, military, and/or law enforcement experience
• High school graduate, GED, or technical school; or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PERC Card certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
• Monitor CCTV, door alarms and alarm systems.
• Operate dispatch communications, respond to guest concerns, and document incidents.
• Enforce facility policies, monitor safety and cleanliness, and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong knowledge of the facility layout and services.
• Conduct screenings and patrols using magnetometers and security vehicles; remain active at posts and during facility walkthroughs.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What you’ll do:

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand or walk for most of the shift and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds, stoop, kneel, or reach.
• Requires color vision and the ability to focus.

The pay range for this role is $23.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include 401K retirement plan with company match, paid time off and commuter benefits.
