Medical University of South Carolina seeks an experienced security leader to oversee the Security department, aligning operations with the organization’s security plan and procedures. You will mentor the team, review policies, and participate in investigations while mitigating risk.

The role includes de-escalation of conflicts, documenting incidents, and coordinating with local, state, and national agencies.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of security experience or Associate's Degree with 7 years with progressive leadership experience.
• SLED certified or certification within 6 months of hire including Qualification Armed portion at a shooting range.

Mansioni

• Leads the Security department, setting priorities and ensuring compliance with security plans and procedures.
• Hires, trains, and manages security staff with coaching and mentorship.
• Develops, reviews, and updates security policies to maintain an up-to-date security program.
• Participates in investigations and documents incidents, recommending mitigations.
• Collaborates with local, state, and national agencies on hospital security investigations.
• Reports safety concerns and mitigates risks in leadership channels.
• Uses de-escalation methods, including tools or force where appropriate to control situations.
• Records use of force incidents and escalates concerns to senior leadership.
• Escalates issues to Senior Leader and/or AOC as needed.
