Job summary

HDR is seeking a Security Designer I to join our Building Engineering Services Group. You will help design and implement security systems for critical environments, shaping workplaces where people connect and thrive.

You will evaluate advanced security technologies, design systems using PLCs and CCTV, assist in creating construction documents, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive culture at HDR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and apply state-of-the-art security systems, techniques, procedures, designs and modifications.
• Design security systems involving PLCs, CCTV, and card access equipment.
• Assist in preparation of construction documents.

In the role of Security Designer I, we'll count on you to:

• Evaluate and apply state-of-the-art security systems, techniques, procedures, designs and modifications
• Design security systems involving PLC's, CCTV's and card access equipment
• Assist in preparation of construction documents
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience
