Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented, proactive and must be capable of multitasking.
• US Citizenship and eligible to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Brief government personnel in all departments on security responsibilities. Provide security classification guides and applicable operations references to the department personnel as required.
• Maintain record of all security containers, classified use copiers, and classified use shredders and/or disintegrators and their locations within each department.
• Perform periodic spot checks to ensure all devices have the security placards and security container checklists affixed and proper security and classified material handling procedures are being followed in accordance IAW NUWC directives, Information Security Program, and implementing directives.
• Assist with emergency destruction or transfer of classified information, as required.
• Provide quarterly report to the Security Officer.
• In conjunction with government security specialist, conduct inspections of command facilities to determine security compliance for Information Security, Physical Security, Personal Identifying Information, and Operational Security requirements in all NUWCDIVKPT buildings. Gather and enter security findings and deficiencies into government system of record. Perform follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions have been completed. Provide inspection results to the Security Director monthly.
• Maintain a list of current division building point(s) of contact and contact information. Provide list quarterly to Physical Security Program manager.
