Job summary

Amazon Security Experiences (ASE) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer I to join the Security Data Intelligence team. You will build and maintain BI solutions, leverage SQL and visualization tools, and translate business questions into data-driven insights for security leadership.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, maintain lineage, and deliver reliable analyses on schedule, while writing secure, maintainable code and collaborating with Data Scientists and

Qualifications

Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools.
Experience in data querying or modeling with SQL, Excel.
2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared).

Responsibilities

Learn and apply team BI best practices when building data artifacts including ETL, data models, queries, and reports.
Maintain understanding of data lineage: sources of data, how metrics are aggregated, and how BI is consumed by security leadership.
Build BI solutions to answer straightforward business questions; be proficient in SQL and ETL and create data structures.
Use analytics and visualization tools to deliver actionable insights.
Write secure, stable, testable code with reviews and documentation.
Deliver on well-defined requirements on schedule and communicate findings to a technical audience.
