Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to join the Secure the Enterprise initiative in Linthicum, MD. The role focuses on automating security evaluation processes, continuous monitoring, and data gathering across project lifecycles.

The ideal candidate has 7 years of software engineering experience, a technical Bachelor's degree, and hands-on work with Pig and PySpark analytics. On-site duties include collaboration with multiple teams and delivering reliable data to end

Responsibilities

• The engineer will be heavily involved with the creation, maintenance, and running of Pig and PySpark analytics and is responsible for reviewing data ingest tickets and merge requests with other developers on the team.
• The engineer is focused on delivering reliable, accurate data to the end users as well as ensuring that day-to-day operations are successful, including investigating data arriving accurately into the system.

Job Description

• As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The engineer will be heavily involved with the creation, maintenance, and running of Pig and or PySpark analytics and is responsible for reviewing data ingest tickets and merge requests with other developers on the team.
• The engineer is focused on delivering reliable, accurate data to the end users as well as ensuring that day-to-day operations are successful. Including being able to investigate data arriving accurately into the system.

Salary: $160,000 - $170,000 annually
