Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Secure the Enterprise initiative. This role focuses on automating security evaluation workflows, enabling smooth operation across teams, and improving CI/CD, monitoring, and data gathering throughout the project life cycle.

The position requires Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph, 7 years of software engineering experience, and a technical degree (or equivalent experience).

• 7 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 4 additional years of experience as a software engineer may be substituted for a degree.
• Linux system administration (Centos7, RedHat8)
• Docker
• Python scripting
• AWS, C2S, or other cloud experience
• GitLab Pipeline
• Ansible Pipeline
• NiFi
• Elasticsearch (desired)
• Cloud hosting and automation (desired)

Responsibilities

• The DevOps Engineer will facilitate infrastructure management, continuous integration, environment configuration and deployment as well as supporting the project’s compliance and security posture.
• The team member shall focus on delivering the automation that enables all the other teams to operate smoothly.

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.

Salary

Salary: $160,000 - $170,000 annually
