Security D Command Center Operators

Location:

Deerfield Beach
Pay: $20.50 p/hr

Due to the nature of this assignment, special attention is paid to those candidates that are able to successfully demonstrate: A work history illustrating a progressively related skill set and responsibilities with an emphasis in either a communication center, dispatch or 911 setting with prior employment.

Computer Skills: Candidates should possess proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The SOC Operator is responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating emergencies, compiling daily reports, replying to email and phone inquiries and general workplace duties, as needed. The candidate needs to be comfortable in a fast‑paced, growing environment. Superior communication and multi‑tasking skills are strongly desired. A professional yet approachable personality, who can make sound decisions through training with limited supervision, will excel in our environment.

Responsibilities:

• Push/Report all appropriate operational matters in real‑time directly tothe SOC Manager, Director of Operationsand members of senior management.
• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty.
• Acts on all customer service related calls and either resolves them personally or refers issues to the appropriate individuals.
• Manage communications for emergency and non‑emergency calls‑for‑service, to include; phone and email workstations. Monitor email inboxes, work order service requests and all communications devices; prioritize and process incoming information according to procedure.
• Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Acknowledge alarms and dispatch personnel as needed.
• Perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of satisfactory prior employment as a security officer.
• Additionally, 1 year of experience in dispatch or command is required.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Fl Driver’s License.
• Valid Fl Security D License.
• Candidates must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and a criminal background check. Additionally, maintaining a working telephone number for contact purposes is required.
