Job summary

Marksman Security LLC in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a Part-Time Lobby Officer to greet visitors, verify credentials, and maintain a secure lobby environment.

The role requires strong customer service and security experience, along with a FL Security D license. Work Thursdays 1:00pm-7:00pm and Fridays 7:00am-5:00pm, with benefits such as paid time off and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience.
• One year of security experience.
• Valid FL Security D License.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Experience using access control systems and security software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen visitors, vendors, and employees at the lobby desk.
• Operate access control systems to issue and verify credentials.
• Deter misconduct and respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies by contacting authorities.
• Make periodic patrols of the lobby and surrounding areas for safety.
• Prepare clear, concise incident reports.
• Utilize computers for incident reports and email.
• Manage multiple tasks and communicate by radio/phone in high-pressure environments.
• Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor.

Thursday: Lobby 500, 1:00pm-7:00pm and Friday: Lobby 201, 7:00am-5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and screen visitors, vendors, and employees at the lobby desk with a professional, welcoming demeanor
• Operate access control systems to issue and verify credentials
• Deter misconduct and respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams
• Make periodic patrols of the lobby and surrounding areas to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, and unauthorized persons
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate incident reports
• Utilize a computer for incident reports, security software applications, and email
• Manage multiple tasks, execute radio and telephone communications, and perform in a high-pressure environment
• Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience
• One year of security experience
• Law enforcement experience
• Corrections experience
• Military experience

Requirements

• Valid FL Security D License
• Valid FL Driver's License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
• Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
• Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
• Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
