Job summary

Targeted Solutions, LLC seeks a Security Control Assessor I to perform comprehensive RMF-based security assessments for systems handling SAP, SCI, and collateral information. The role supports the government through authorization packages, SARs, and POA&Ms, coordinating with ISO/IDO/PSO/DAO/AO while ensuring SDLC compliance.

Ideal candidates hold TS/SCI eligibility, DoD 8570.01-M alignment, and prior ISSO/ISSM experience, with a proven track record in risk assessment and security control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience (4 years).
• 5-7 years of directly related experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in SAP, SCI or Collateral Information Systems (IS) Security.

Responsibilities

• Oversee RMF-based security program policy development and evaluation.
• Assess ISs per RMF and JSIG guidance.
• Advise ISO/IDO/PSO/DAO/AO on assessment and authorization issues.
• Evaluate authorization packages and provide recommendations to the AO/DAO.
• Assess threats/vulnerabilities and determine additional safeguards.
• Advise on impact levels for CIA of information systems.
• Prepare SAR and document control for authorization boundary.
• Initiate POA&M addressing identified weaknesses.
• Recommend security authorization actions to Government.
• Discuss authorization recommendations with AO/DAO and submit.
• Review changes to authorization boundaries with mission needs.
• Concur with sanitization procedures per Government policy.
• Assist Government inspections and security incident responses.
• Ensure SDLC phases are addressed in the organization.
• Evaluate hardware/software for security impact on boundaries.
• Evaluate effectiveness of Continuous Monitoring Plans.
• Represent the customer on inspection teams.
