Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Security Control Assessor I to conduct comprehensive security control assessments within IS environments, including SAP/SCI scopes. You will evaluate RMF processes, advise key leaders, and prepare SARs with POA&Ms for authorization boundaries.

Required are 5+ years of related experience, TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility, and the ability to guide policy and security posture across collateral and sensitive programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in security assessments or RMF.
• Experience with SAP, SCI, or collateral IS security is preferred.
• Previous ISSO/ISSM roles and JSIG guidance exposure are desirable.
• Ability to articulate risk and recommend corrective actions.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance and polygraph eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform oversight of IS security program policy development and evaluation.
• Assess ISs using RMF methodology per JSIG guidance.
• Advise ISO/IDO/PSO/DAO/AO on assessment and authorization issues.
• Evaluate authorization packages and provide written recommendations.
• Assess threats and vulnerabilities to determine additional safeguards.
• Document SAR and prepare authorization boundary results.
• Initiate POA&Ms for identified weaknesses and timelines.
• Contribute to government compliance inspections and incident handling.
• Support SDLC security controls and continuous monitoring plans.
• Represent the customer on inspection teams.
