Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Security Control Assessor I to conduct comprehensive assessments of management, operational and technical security controls within or inherited by an IS, ensuring controls meet security requirements and function as intended.

The role covers RMF-based evaluations under JSIG guidance, advising ISOs and PSOs, preparing SARs, and coordinating with AO/DAO for authorization, with strict requirements for TS/SCI clearance and additional CI

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience.
• Minimum of three years in SAP, SCI or Collateral IS Security.
• Prior performance as ISSO and ISSM.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• IAT Level 3 cert or IAM Level 1 within 6 months of hire.
• TS/SCI active clearance with CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, implementation and evaluation of IS security policy.
• Assess ISs using RMF per JSIG guidance.
• Advise ISO, IDO, PSO and AO/DAO on assessment issues.
• Evaluate authorization packages and recommend to AO/DAO.
• Identify threats, determine safeguards and advise on impact levels.
• Prepare SAR for Authorization boundary and document results.
• Initiate POA&M for each identified weakness.
• Review and concur on sanitization procedures according to policy.
• Assist government compliance inspections and security incidents.
