Job summary

LV8D Solutions LLC seeks a Communications Systems Engineer acting as a Security Control Assessor to provide onsite SETA services for a government program. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with Poly and on-site work in Chantilly, VA, with occasional domestic travel up to 25%.

You will support SPO acquisitions for space, network, and crypto systems, conduct independent RMF assessments, and coordinate with COTRs and stakeholders to maintain contract documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support SPO in acquisition planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight for comms, network, and crypto acquisitions.

• Develop briefs and documents for government and industry stakeholders.
• Coordinate with COTRs and program stakeholders to maintain contract documentation.
• Review CDRL deliverables for content, accuracy, and sufficiency.
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings.

Mission Context

LV8D Solutions supports national security space and intelligence customers delivering next-generation sensing and exploitation capabilities. The Communications Systems Engineer will act as a Security Control Assessor to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of a government program.

Position Overview

As the Security Control Assessor, you will support a Government customer with multiple satellite systems, both on-orbit and in development. You will also support communication systems, network, and crypto acquisition activities for multiple major satellite programs. The job requires familiarity with government organizations, processes, and satellite systems.

Note: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polyis required to be considered for this role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the System Program Office (SPO) in an acquisition capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of communication, network, and crypto acquisitions.
• Conduct independent assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls. Support faster RMF processing and security assessment reporting.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required
• Support Contract Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other acquisition domain SMEs and program stakeholders to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation
• Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• Understanding and experience with how space communication, network, and crypto systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and information security policies and standards
• Experience with government satellite systems
• Available to travel domestically up to 25%

Security Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
• Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph

Work Environment:

• On-site work in a government or contractor facility
• Occasional travel (up to 25%)
