Job summary

LV8D Solutions LLC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Network Intrusion Specialist to provide onsite SETA services for a government satellite program. You will analyze PCAP data, monitor IDS/IPS, and support acquisition planning for communications, network, and crypto systems.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with poly, willingness to travel up to 25%, and strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with COTRs and program stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the SPO in acquisition planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of communication, network, and crypto acquisitions.
• Analyze PCAP data and IDS/IPS alerts. Trace network-based attacks. Support containment of live network intrusions.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work status to Government and industry as required.
• Coordinate with COTRs and SMEs to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation.
• Review CDRL deliverables for content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements.
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR.
• Travel may occur once a month.

Mission Context

LV8D Solutions supports national security space and intelligence customers delivering next-generation sensing and exploitation capabilities. The Communications Systems Engineer will act as a Network Intrusion Specialist to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of a government program in Chantilly, VA.

Position Overview

The Network Intrusion Specialist will support a Government customer with multiple satellite systems, both on-orbit and in development. They will also support communication systems, network, and crypto acquisition activities for multiple major satellite programs. Note: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polyis required to be considered for this role Interested candidates need to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment; are highly motivated and not afraid to take on uncharted territory; possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; and be able to prioritize their time to be effective in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Support the System Program Office (SPO) in an acquisition capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of communication, network, and crypto acquisitions.
• Analyze PCAP data and IDS/IPS alerts. Trace network-based attacks. Support containment of live network intrusions. Increase monitoring and auditing of black transport
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required
• Support Contract Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other acquisition domain SMEs and program stakeholders to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation
• Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR
• Travel is required and may occur once a month.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
• Understanding and experience within how space communication, network, and crypto systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and information security policies and standards
• Experience with government satellite systems
• Available to travel domestically up to 25%.

Security Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
• Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph

Work Environment

• On-site work in a government or contractor facility
