Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the SPO in acquisition planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of comms, network, and crypto acquisitions.
• Coordinate day-to-day risk management and support RMF actions.
• Develop documents and briefings for status updates to Government and industry.
• Support COTRs and Developers by coordinating with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Review CDRL deliverables for content, accuracy, sufficiency.
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings.
• Travel up to 25%.

Mission Context

LV8D Solutions supports national security space and intelligence customers delivering next-generation sensing and exploitation capabilities. The Communications Systems Engineer will act as a Designated Authorizing Official Representative to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services in support of a government program.

Position Overview

The Communications Systems Engineer will support a Government customer with multiple satellite systems, both on-orbit and in development.They will support communication systems, network, and crypto acquisition activities for multiple major satellite programs. The job requires familiarity with government organizations, processes, and satellite systems.

Note: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polyis required to be considered for this role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the System Program Office (SPO) in an acquisition capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of communication, network, and crypto acquisitions.
• Coordinate and conduct day-to-day risk management activities. Support security authorization activities for information systems. Help accelerate PCRs, ATOs, and RMF actions.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required
• Support Contract Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other acquisition domain SMEs and program stakeholders to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation
• Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR
• Travel is required and may occur once a month.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• Familiarity with government organizations, processes, and satellite systems.
• Must understand and work within how space communication, network, and crypto systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and information security policies and standards
• Available to travel domestically

Security Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
• Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph

Work Environment

• On-site work in a government or contractor facility
• Occasional travel (up to 25%)
