Responsibilities

• Support acquisition planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of comms, network and crypto acquisitions.
• Build, automate, and execute testing frameworks; address red/blue team findings.
• Develop briefings and documentation; brief Government and industry as required.
• Coordinate with COTRs, SMEs and stakeholders to maintain contract docs.
• Review CDRL deliverables for content, accuracy and sufficiency.
• Participate in reviews and technical interchange meetings; travel as needed.

The Communication Systems Engineer will support government satellite programs through acquisition, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technical oversight of space communications,

Position Overview

LV8D Solutions is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer to act as an Offensive Security Engineer to provide onsite systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services.

The Offensive Security Engineer will support a Government customer with multiple satellite systems, both on-orbit and in development.They will also support communication systems, network, and crypto acquisition activities for multiple major satellite programs.

Note: An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polyis required to be considered for this role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the System Program Office (SPO) in an acquisition capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of communication, network, and crypto acquisitions.
• Build, automate, and execute testing frameworks and security assessments. Help resolve red/blue team findings. Improve cybersecurity posture against evolving threats.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required
• Support Contract Officer Technical Representatives (COTRs) and Developers by coordinating with other acquisition domain SMEs and program stakeholders to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation
• Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program requirements and objectives
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR
• Travel is required and may occur once a month.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience..
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and information security policies and standards.
• Understanding and experience within how space communication, network, and crypto systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested
• Familiarity with government organizations, processes, and satellite systems.
• Available to travel up to 25% domestically

Security Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
• Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph

Work Environment:

• On-site work in a government or contractor facility
• Occasional travel (up to 25%)
