i3 is seeking a Security Specialist to safeguard classified processing, access control, and proprietary information. The role involves processing security clearances and implementing security plans in coordination with government procedures.

You will maintain security folders, brief program managers on status, and interpret security doctrine to guide employees. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience required.
• Practical knowledge of DISS, NBIS (eApp) and SIMS.
• Experience with the NISPOM.
• Experience processing outgoing visit requests (VARS).
• Experience with Mission Partner Affiliation Sponsors and government POCs.
• Familiar with CAC re-verification process.
• SPOT and ACCS preferred.
• Self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
• Active Secret clearance required; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing security plans (OPSEC, Emergency Action, Security Policies).
• Process security clearance actions per government and company procedures.
• Maintain personnel security folders.
• Provide updates to Program Managers and Directors on security status.
• Interpret security doctrine and provide clear guidance to employees.
• Support security awareness, training, and education programs.
• Conduct security briefings and debriefings; travel briefings as needed.
• Attend program meetings where security presence is requested.
• Assist with classified meeting preparation and support.
• Escort non-cleared personnel as needed.
• Review and maintain Security Classification Guides.
• Liaise with security staff to ensure policy compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
