Job summary

Aalo Atomics, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to implement and improve controls across systems, networks, and cloud environments. You will support governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives while collaborating with IT, engineering, and leadership to identify risks and maintain documentation.

Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will help align controls with frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and CMMC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Knowledge of core cybersecurity domains: endpoint, network, IAM, vulnerability management, logging/SIEM, cloud security.
• Experience with EDR, firewalls, email security, SIEM, IAM, or cloud controls.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and/or CMMC.
• Experience supporting documentation, risk assessments, control implementation, or audits.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and monitor cybersecurity controls across endpoints, networks, cloud, and apps.
• Monitor security events and support incident response, containment, remediation, and post-incident review.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with IT, owners, and vendors.
• Develop and review cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support risk assessments, control implementation, and audit support.
• Maintain security documentation including playbooks, inventories, POA&Ms, and evidence.
