Job summary

Aalo Atomics in Austin, TX, seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer – Security & Compliance to implement and improve controls protecting systems, networks, cloud environments, and data. You will work with IT, engineering, and leadership to address risks and ensure compliance with standards.

The role blends hands-on cybersecurity engineering with governance, risk, and regulatory support, including policy development, documentation, and audits. Travel may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in cybersecurity or related field.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity or related role.
• Strong knowledge of endpoint, network, IAM, vulnerability management, SIEM, and cloud security.
• Experience with EDR, firewalls, email security, SIEM, IAM, or cloud security controls.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, or CMMC.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and monitor cybersecurity technologies and controls.
• Support incident response and post-incident analysis.
• Assist with audits, assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and documentation.
• Track gaps and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
