Job summary

Akima Data Management (ADM) is hiring a Training and Development Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive training programs that support the mission and operational effectiveness of OIG.

You will build curricula, create learning materials, assess needs, and manage the full lifecycle across on-site and hybrid environments, engaging leadership and diverse teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and eight to ten years of training experience, including leading comprehensive in-person and virtual training programs for large, diverse groups.
• Proficiency in instructional design and in tools such as PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Experience conducting needs assessments and evaluating training effectiveness.
• Proven ability to develop engaging learning materials across multiple formats and platforms.
• Strong facilitation skills with experience training individuals at all organizational levels.
• Experience supporting federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Build comprehensive training curricula, including structured learning paths and blended learning.
• Create instructional materials such as presentations, e-learning modules, facilitator guides, and job aids.
• Assess training needs with leadership, SMEs, and stakeholders to identify gaps.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on feedback.
• Manage end-to-end training lifecycle: scheduling, logistics, documentation, reporting.
• Deliver learning experiences across virtual, in-person, asynchronous, and hybrid platforms.
• Advise leadership on training strategy and organizational development initiatives.
• Ensure training materials comply with policies and accessibility standards.
