Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an EB Welder to support our Defense Systems sector at the Rocket Center, West Virginia location. The role involves welding pressure vessels and structural components, operating heat ovens, and ensuring compliance with procedures and documentation.

Required are a high school diploma, 5+ years welding experience including 3 TIG years, and the ability to obtain security clearance along with vision and color perception tests. AWS D17.1 Class A certifications may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with at least 5 years welding experience, including 3 years TIG welding.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance and pass vision/color perception tests.
• Must pass and maintain customer certifications per military specs, AWS D17.1 Class A.

Responsibilities

• Weld pressure vessels.
• Weld structural parts and assemblies.
• Operate pre- and post-heat ovens.
• Lay out locations and make setups as required.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Assemble tooling according to established procedures.
• Operate any process in accordance with procedures and setup sheets.
• Input data into electronic work instructions.
• Fill out required documentation to indicate completion of the welding process.
