Job summary

Oceaneering in Hanover, MD seeks a Structural Engineer / Stress Analyst to perform structural analysis on subsea systems using hand calculations and finite element methods (FEA). You will evaluate ROV frames, mechanisms, pressure vessels, and related development projects.

You will collaborate with design engineers from concept through structural testing, influence load paths, and ensure structural integrity under static and dynamic conditions, including fatigue, fracture, and bolted/welded

Qualifications

• Experience with linear and non-linear structural analysis including transient shock.
• Experience with fatigue and fracture analysis.
• Knowledge of bolt and weld analysis.
• Familiarity with hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis on subsea structures using hand methods and FEA.
• Collaborate with designer engineers from early stages through testing and completion.
• Influence load paths and ensure structural integrity across static and dynamic studies.
• Define load tests and document results (DDAM and related reports).
