Job summary

Oceaneering in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Structural Engineer / Stress Analyst to perform structural analysis on subsea structures using hand calculations and FEA. You will work with designer engineers from concept through testing, influence load paths, and ensure integrity under static and dynamic loading, including fatigue, fracture, bolts and welds.

Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance; Top Secret/SCI preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience performing linear and nonlinear structural analysis.
• US citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.
• Collaborates with design engineers from concept through testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis on subsea frames and vessels.
• Conduct static and dynamic analyses including transient shock.
• Develop load tests and document results (DDAM).
• Support certification and ensure structural integrity.
