Job summary

Visionist, Inc. seeks an experienced Software Product Lead to guide a critical software product across the full lifecycle, from customer engagement to deployment and sustainment.

You will lead engineering teams, balance rapid iteration with reliability, and work directly with users to translate mission needs into technical solutions. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, deep domain expertise, and a passion for solving complex problems that deliver meaningful mission impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (additional 4 years may substitute).
• 12+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience leading engineering teams with diverse technical backgrounds.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production applications servicing hundreds to thousands of users.
• Production-grade software development in Python, Java, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Solicit requirements and architect an enterprise platform to power intelligent workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and cyber analysts to optimize operational workflows.
• Evaluate AI models, architectures, and deployment options for performance and cost.
• Advise customers on AI investments to maximize mission impact.
• Stay current on AI technologies and advocate adoption of innovative capabilities.
• Lead multiple engineering teams by defining requirements and tracking execution against objectives.
