Job summary

Constellation Technologies is seeking a senior software engineer to analyze requirements, design, code, and integrate software across the lifecycle. You will lead teams, implement complex databases, and develop algorithms to meet stringent performance standards, while collaborating with system engineers and users.

The role demands deep experience with Java, Spring, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices in a government-facing program.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4 years equivalent experience in software engineering on similar projects.
• Experience across software lifecycle from conception to decommissioning.
• Seven years of software engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Experience with listed technologies and software architecture development.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance specs.
• Debug existing software and fix defects.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and development processes.
• Design, code, and modify software to add features.
• Integrate software into new or modified systems.
• Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Serve as team lead appropriate to the process used.
• Design or implement complex database interfaces and queries.
• Develop algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
• Assist with test procedures for software components.
• Develop software by analyzing system performance and data usage.
• Modify software to adapt to new hardware or improve performance.
• Design and modify software using scientific analysis and models.
