Job summary

VTG seeks a Software Engineer to support a Defense customer in Reston, VA. You will develop and maintain distributed systems, design infrastructure, and work on backend/web frameworks to empower mission-critical operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years across multiple languages (Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript) and experience with data-heavy software. Travel up to 25% and an active U.S. Secret clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with multiple languages.
• Strong ability to understand complex systems and existing codebases.
• Experience handling data processing and analysis in software projects.
• Clear interest in building critical software with real-world impact.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to domestic and international locations.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
