Kegman Inc. seeks a Seismic Field Technician to install, maintain, and support global seismological systems at the Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory and beyond. The role involves field deployment, site upgrades, diagnostics, and documentation with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Understanding of transducers including microbarographs, anemometers, magnetometers, GPS receivers and thermocouples.
• Experience applying electronics to install, repair, maintain and test digital seismological field equipment.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Installing new seismic locations and upgrading sites with digital seismic recording equipment.
• Monitoring station operations and addressing outages.
• Maintaining records and documentation, including trip reports and maintenance data.
• Traveling domestically and internationally; 2–3 months total travel per year.
