Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a Network Administrator to config, install, and support network hardware/software while ensuring security compliance and standards alignment. You will plan IT development projects and manage project work including project management duties.

Ideal candidates have a Secret clearance eligibility, 1–2 years of hands-on experience, and familiarity with Palo Alto and Cisco Firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools such as TCPDump and Wireshark.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance or eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 8570 IAT Level II Certification and CND Infrastructure Support within 6 months.
• Solid understanding of firewalls, routers, switches, and other network technologies including Palo Alto and Cisco Firewalls.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, VPN, IPS and associated technologies.
• Experience with TCPDump, Wireshark and analyzing network traffic.
• Understanding of essential network services such as DNS, SMTP, NTP, IMAP, and SNMP.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified network hardware and systems.
• Manage accounts and network rights.
• Configure network hardware and software infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and virtual devices in VMware.
• Analyze and resolve faults, ranging from major system crashes to forgotten passwords.
• Ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency; maintain systems configuration.
• Manage installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements.
• Ensure rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.
• Positions either on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift with respective hours.
