Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings across multiple trades including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and masonry.

Responsibilities include replacing motors, patching walls, repairing sinks and toilets, painting, flooring, hanging doors, and routine machinery maintenance. A high school diploma and at least five years of maintenance experience are required or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of general maintenance experience required.
• Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Computer Skills - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on equipment and buildings as needed.
• Replace motors, patch minor holes and cracks in walls/ceiling, repair sinks/toilets.
• Paint structures and equipment; repair/replace concrete floors, steps, sidewalks.
• Hang doors and install door locks; perform general maintenance on machinery.
