Job summary

Rampant Technologies is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support and advance our IT infrastructure, with a focus on RHEL-based Linux systems and a shift toward Kubernetes-based containerization. This role operates in a dynamic R&D lab environment and requires maintenance, upgrades, and evolution of Linux and Kubernetes platforms.

You will act as a technical advisor and liaison to lab leadership and project teams, helping connect technical execution with strategic goals.

Qualifications

Must have strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience with foundational Kubernetes knowledge.
Extensive experience installing, configuring, securing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large-scale Linux environments.
Advanced troubleshooting across Linux, networking, and storage technologies.
Proficient with infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
Experience using version control systems, particularly Git and GitLab.
Proficient in Bash and Python scripting.
Strong organizational and multi-project management skills.
Clear ability to communicate business and technical needs to diverse audiences.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for documentation and coordination.
Self-starter with proactive, strategic mindset.
Professionalism and diplomacy in interactions with colleagues and partners.
