Job summary

CGS is seeking an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Atlanta, GA with hybrid/remote flexibility to provide expert guidance on application and systems software for government IT initiatives. You will analyze complex systems, define processes, and create SOPs, presentations, and training materials for broad audiences across departments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IT and business experts, stakeholder engagement, and delivering actionable insights to improve IT operations and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in OBIEE, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a clearance
• Knowledge of data governance, data management, data modeling, data cleansing, data extraction and transformation, data analysis, data migration, data integration, and data mapping
• 7+ years of experience with PL/SQL
• Experience with Agile Methodology is highly desired
• Experience with Data Analytics tools (e.g.: ADVANA) is highly desired
• Experience with a UNIX OS is highly desired
• Experience with Java is highly desired
• Experience with SFTO is highly desired
• Experience with APEX is highly desired

Responsibilities

• Assess and redefine procedures and standards to improve IT outcomes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and system users to enhance understanding of agency systems.
• Collaborate with IT and business experts to align goals, requirements, and performance analytics.
• Provide recommendations for IT system improvements and new initiatives.
• Develop procedures, manuals, and documentation for processes and technology needs.
• Define upgrade paths for information systems and potential replacements.
• Support operation and maintenance of complex IT systems.
