Job summary

NexGen Data Systems is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to join its network engineering team. The role focuses on identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving outages across routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN devices, supporting DHA Medical Treatment Facilities and other customers.

You will work with a cross-functional team to document configurations, share best practices, and communicate status to customers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8570 / 8140 OS and Cybersecurity certifications required.
• 5+ years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
• Strong working knowledge with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and VPN devices.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting.
• Must be a team player with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts to cover a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely manner with various devices and protocols.
• Working in a team to recommend troubleshooting steps, device configuration, and documentation.
• Effectively interacting with multiple customers on a daily basis.
