Job summary

PotomacWave is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to join our team supporting a Federal client in Washington, DC. The role involves assisting the Facilities Division with management of construction, maintenance, and repair of facility infrastructure projects and coordinating related renovation efforts within secure facilities.

The candidate will act as a primary liaison on assigned projects, ensure accurate scoping, and maintain documentation and SOPs while coordinating with stakeholders,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Ten years of related experience.
• Technical background with facilities management and building infrastructure.
• PMP certification or other relevant certification.
• Experience in a classified environment and with construction/infrastructure in secure facilities.
• Project management experience for office moves and facilities upgrades.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, and solid work ethic.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint); Jira knowledge desirable.
• Counterintelligence-scope polygraph may be required.
• Must have an active DOE Q or Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate project and program initiatives for our federal client site.
• Serve as the single point of contact for projects, ensuring clear accountability.
• Define scope of work by documenting project requirements.
• Coordinate schedule and resource management.
• Provide guidance to customers on IT requirements, office moves, and facility changes.
• Develop and maintain tools to support facilities operations and space planning.
• Serve as system owner for the Facilities Division ticketing system and coordinate changes.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and office relocations.
• Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures and program docs.
• Collaborate with building management to resolve maintenance issues in secure areas.
• Establish strong client relationships and communicate project status effectively.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and align deliverables with needs.
• Collaborate with vendors on furniture, equipment, and IT requirements to fit the project schedule.
• Prepare agendas and minutes for project meetings and support reviews.
• Present project information for management decisions.
• Maintain facilities-related floor plans and records.
• Adapt to shifting priorities with analytical problem-solving.
• Capture lessons learned and translate into best practices.
