Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer II for our McKinney, Texas campus. The role focuses on designing, developing, and releasing real-time software for the MTS-A product line within an agile environment. Onsite work is required with occasional travel up to 20% to support both DoD and commercial programs.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and at least two years of relevant experience in C++ real-time systems, with familiarity of embedded software stacks and lab environments. U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience developing and integrating real-time software in C++.
• Ability to obtain US government security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Experience in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the software development lifecycle within an embedded software team.
• Develop and integrate software solutions for military and commercial programs.
• Collaborate to resolve complex system and software integration problems.
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX with up to 20% travel.
