Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Database Engineer Level 3 in Annapolis, MD, to design robust databases and data flows for complex programs. You will architect relational/object-oriented structures and develop parser/tools, with focus on security, performance, and lifecycle management.

The role demands ten years' experience, a technical degree, and expertise in Oracle DB/OEM/Data Guard, Linux, and scripting. Remote work is unlikely; IOC delivery and cloud integration are key expectations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
• Minimum of ten years of experience as a Database Engineer on programs/contracts of similar scope.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; five additional years can substitute for the degree.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle DB, OEM, and Data Guard.
• Proficiency in Linux OS environments and Bash scripting.
• Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL platforms is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the development of database structures, schemas, and loading software.
• Manage technical requirements from inception through IOC, guiding system optimization.
• Translate complex requirements into functional schemas and automate queries and scripts.
• Build cloud-based storage/retrieval methods and enable data integration.
• Balance trade-offs related to scale, access controls, performance, and security.
