Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer with active TS/SCI w/Polygraph to design and implement data engineering solutions in a highly secure environment.

The role requires extensive experience in system engineering, SOA, data transformations (XML/CSV/JSON), Linux, NiFi, Java, and Splunk, with a strong focus on documentation, interfaces, and secure data flows for IC datasets. Qualifications

• 14 years experience as a system engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 5 additional years of experience in lieu.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Systems Engineering efforts.
• Able to implement comprehensive SOA solutions.
• Able to conduct end-to-end system trade analyses to optimize system operations.
• Able to define interfaces for software in terms of origination, destination, stimulus, and data characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions.
• Work with NiFi, Linux, data schemas (XML/CSV/JSON) and DBs (MySQL/NoSQL).
• Document data flows and support ingestion into customer repositories.
• Knowledge of Java and Splunk is highly desired.
