Job summary

Titan Security is hiring for a Security Captain at an Industrial site in Burns Harbor, Indiana. The role leads gates, officers, drills, and audits, with responsibilities spanning training, inspections, and KPI reporting; the captain may fill in for the Site Manager when needed and cover any supervised position.

Qualified candidates will hold a degree in Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in supervisory/industrial security.

Qualifications

• Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field and/or equivalent experience/education preferred.
• Minimum of 2 of Supervisor Experience and Industrial Security experience.
• Previous MARSEC and Industrial facility security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security gates, dock officers, patrol officers, and special details.
• Develop curriculum, run training/drills, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Fill in for the Site Manager (in their absence) or open Shift Security Captain positions.
• Trained to cover any position under their supervision.
• Provide detailed information on vehicle inspections
• Document departmental pre-operational vehicle checks
• Provide both departmental vehicle inventories and general departmental inventories.
• Review traffic enforcement, specifically including a summary of written tickets.
• Provide a summary of patrol activities.
• Conduct and report on an audit of building inspections.
• Provide a summary of active security systems and any equipment impairments.
• Outline a summary of safety concerns.
• Document a summary of training activities alongside a drill summary.
• Report a summary of gate paperwork discrepancies.
• Provide a summary of generated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management or related field

Qualifications/Benefits

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.

Preferred Certifications

CPP certification (ASIS), OSHA-10.

Physical Demands

The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A list of these job duties is inclusive of, but not limited to: candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.

Salary & Benefits
