Job summary

TSI Global Companies, LLC is seeking an Installation and Service Technician in Kansas City to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic communication systems including security/access control, CCTV, alarm intrusion, AV displays, and control systems.

You will inspect installations for quality and safety, train clients, document work, and provide ongoing support while coordinating with vendors and teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Networking or Electronics, or a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience with Avigilon Access Control and Avigilon Security Cameras preferred.
• Familiarity with Alarm Intrusion, Card Access Systems, IP Video Surveillance Systems, and/or Audiovisual Systems is a plus.
• Experience in field servicing and troubleshooting computer networks preferred.
• General knowledge of construction processes to interface with other trades and ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Ability to read schematic diagrams and blueprints.
• Knowledge of Avigilon and Crestron preferred; ability to write DSP code is a plus.
• AVIXA and NSCA Certifications are a plus.
• Valid state Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Installations
• Ensures that systems are installed per plans, specifications, and/or the scope of work, in compliance with local and national codes.
• Assists with all cable, device, and head-end installation; performs system programming, project site checkout, and testing.
• Tasks include equipment placement, mounting, system cabling, and termination of devices per system diagrams.
• Regularly completes assigned tasks on time, on budget, and within quality standards.
• Service Support
• Provides service support for clients as needed.
• Participates in weekend on-call service rotations.
• Documentation
• Documents project changes and notes opportunities for improvement.
• Accurately tracks time worked on projects, service tickets, installation tickets, and inventory items through the CRM platform.
• Training and Support for Customers
• Interfaces with clients on system functionality, training, project issues, and planning.
• Ongoing Skills Development
• Participates in ongoing project training with vendors.
• Attends and completes training programs as requested.
