Job summary

Jackson in Lansing, MI is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to design and develop software to support security tools in the Information Security Department. You will lead automation of threat detection, vulnerability management, and repeatable tasks to reduce response times.

The role requires strong scripting, IAM, SIEM experience, and collaboration with IT and security teams. You will implement automation strategies, participate in testing, and help enforce engineering best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience.
• 5+ years of automation experience developing scripts.
• 5+ years of Information Security experience.
• CISSP or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software/systems to support Security tools.
• Automate repeatable tasks to decrease response times.
• Administers security-focused information systems (SIEM, IAM, DLP, PKI, forensics).
• Identify risks and advise on changes to reduce risk.
• Guide automation strategy and best practices across the team.
• Test security software and contribute to automation decisions.
• Support audits and implement automation solutions.
