The Jackson National Life Insurance Company is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation for threat detection and vulnerability management within the Information Security Department. The role focuses on reducing response times by automating repeatable tasks.

The engineer will work with SIEM, IAM, and cloud-based infrastructure, using Python and PowerShell to automate security workflows and investigations, while adhering to CI/CD practices and enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience required.
• 5+ years of experience developing scripts or automation required.
• 5+ years of Information Security experience required.
• CISSP or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers security-focused information systems, such as identity management, data loss prevention, SIEM, PKI, and eDiscovery/forensics.
• Identifies, assesses, and communicates risks related to data, systems, and personnel; provides guidance to reduce risk.
• Reviews violations of computer security procedures and guides end users to prevent reoccurrence.
• Provides direction for automation Security strategy and evaluates security software for automation opportunities.
• Guides best practices for automation and orchestration across the organization.
• Participates in forensic investigations and resolves automation problems as needed.
• Reflects on Audit findings and develops automation solutions.
• Ensures alignment of software engineering best practices within the group.
• Enforces company policies and procedures.
