Job summary

HRU Technical Resources in East Lansing, MI is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II focused on IAM and security automation. This hands-on role automates security workflows, strengthens identity management, and enhances threat detection across cloud services and Linux-based infrastructure.

You will build PowerShell scripts, support Entra ID and Microsoft 365 Security, improve SIEM dashboards, and collaborate with infrastructure teams to secure networks and endpoints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, or related field.
• Approximately 5 years of relevant cybersecurity/IT experience.
• Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred.
• Strong PowerShell skills with IAM, Entra ID, M365 Security, and SIEM experience.
• Linux administration, Git, networking fundamentals (firewalls, routing, switching).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, CMMC).
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build PowerShell scripts and automated workflows for security operations.
• Support Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 Security, including access reviews, SSO, and MFA.
• Enhance SIEM monitoring, log collection, dashboards, and alerts.
• Integrate security tools via APIs and automate vulnerability reporting.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to secure Linux systems, networks, and firewalls.
• Improve security controls and documentation per cybersecurity frameworks.
