Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Security Assistant Supervisor to provide security services across the health system, hospitals and outpatient clinics, enforcing rules and maintaining a safe environment.
The role acts as back up for the shift supervisor, may work various shifts including nights, and requires a valid Virginia driver's license and a clean driving record.
The Security Assistant Supervisor provides security services to the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, its hospitals and outpatient clinics by courteously assisting staff, visitors and patients by enforcing rules and regulations.
The Security Assistant Supervisor projects a positive image and promotes a safe healthcare environment.
This role also serves as back up in the absence of the shift supervisor.
Valid Virginia Driver’s License and acceptable driving record that reflects safe and lawful motor vehicle operation.

Minimum of three (3) year of security, public safety or law enforcement work experience.
Five (5) years of security, public safety or law enforcement work experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or related field Training or certification in conflict resolution, de-escalation and/or violence prevention
Performs post assignments. De-escalates agitated patients, both individually and as a member of a team. Prevents potentially risky and/or violent situations.
Serves as back up in the absence of the shift supervisor. Oversees the operations of assigned shift.
Ability to work any shifts and additional hours as needed and scheduled. Ability to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays.

Compensation Range $16.08 - $24.12 Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
