Job summary

PENN Entertainment’s security team at Charles Town oversees the daily operations of a designated shift, ensuring safety and compliance with all policies. You will supervise staff, manage schedules, and contribute to budgeting while maintaining excellent guest service and security standards.

The role requires experience in casino security, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle incidents professionally. Weekend and holiday hours are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent security experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security protocol.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems diplomatically.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and manage daily operations of a designated Security shift.
  • Assist in creating schedules, manage labor costs, staffing objectives, and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in budgeting for the department and report budget concerns to management.
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service per standards and programs.
  • Train shift personnel in emergency operating procedures.
  • Enforce internal control policies including underage gambling and drinking laws.
  • Maintain safety and inspection reports for the property and conduct post inspections.
  • Transfer Table Games fills and credits; prepare security incident reports and logs.
  • Respond to guests and team member concerns and solve problems with professionalism.
  • Interact with regulatory, fire/rescue and law enforcement agencies.
  • Ensure officers adhere to dress and grooming standards; ensure regulatory compliance and report issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all departmental matters.
  • Ability to work 8P-4A including weekends and holidays.

WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Security department. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Assists in creating effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Assists in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Responsible for the ongoing training of shift personnel in emergency operating procedures.
  • Enforce internal control policies and procedures including but not limited too; underage gambling and drinking laws.
  • Maintain safety and inspections reports for the property.
  • Conduct regular security post inspections.
  • Transfers Table Games fills and credits.
  • Prepare security incident reports and maintain security logs.
  • Respond to guests and team member concerns and complaints and solve their problems with professionalism and compassion.
  • Interact and cooperate with regulatory, fire/rescue and law enforcement agencies.
  • Ensure security officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards consistent with department and company standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Ability to work 8P-4A including weekends and holidays.

  • Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also
