Job summary

Erickson Senior Living’s Ashby Ponds community in Ashburn, VA, invites applications for an Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services. You will support program compliance, investigations, and training while backing the SES Manager in their absence.

You will oversee gatehouse operations, patrols, access control, and incident documentation, plus manage the Emergency Call and Notification systems, ensuring team accountability under the Erickson Way.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Security and Emergency Services Management role.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Medical Responder role.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SES Manager in program/procedural compliance, QA/QI, investigations, training, administrative support, and act as the primary backup to the Security ES Manager in their absence.
• Responsible for the security of the community through gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs.
• Oversee safety programs including security inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing, and others as needed.
• Partner with their manager to establish and maintain an operating budget.
• Oversee proper documentation of incidents through the Incident Reporting System.
• Manage the Emergency Call System and Notification Alert System.
• Provide leadership and a positive example to the team, ensuring accountability within the Erickson Way.

Join our team as an Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services for our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall implementation of Erickson Senior Living’s Security and Emergency Services programs and outreach.

How you will make an impact

What you will need
